Rafael Nadal takes on Marcos Baghdatis in the night session of the Cincinnati Masters.

Nadal did not look particularly convincing in his third round win over Julien Benneteau, struggling against the Frenchman's unorthodox tennis and having to fight off a match point before winning 5-7, 7-6, 6-2.

Baghdatis will have noted Nadal's slight struggles so far on the hard courts and will be hoping to take advantage. The Cypriot reached the Washington final a couple of weeks ago and has been in excellent form this week, putting out Marin Cilic in straight sets in the opening round and then stunning Tomas Berdych 7-5, 6-4 in the last 16.

However the odds are firmly against him tonight. Nadal has not failed to reach the semis of a Masters 1000 event this year and Baghdatis has not beaten him in six attempts.

"To beat Berdych he must be playing really well," Nadal said looking ahead to the match. "I have to play aggressive, I have to serve well, and return better than today. And that's it. Just hope that he doesn't have his inspiration there, and just try to play my best tennis."
