Rafael Nadal is up against Feliciano Lopez in the quarters of ATP Queens.

Nadal was seriously tested in a lengthy third round tussle against Denis Istomin. The big serving Uzbek pushed the world number one all the way and it was a very relieved Nadal who eventually progressed 7-6, 4-6, 6-4.

There was a brief injury scare for Nadal at the beginning of the third set when he had the trainer on court, complaining of soreness in his hamstring but after the match, Nadal was emphasized it was nothing serious.  

In contrast Lopez has had an easy time reaching the last eight, defeating wildcard Grigor Dimitrov and Julien Benneteau 6-2, 6-4.

However Nadal has won his last five matches against Lopez without dropping a set so Lopez’s chances do not look great. However grass is his best surface and Nadal’s groundstrokes, particularly the forehand down the line, looked a little shaky against Istomin.

Nadal to go through but he may be pushed to three sets again.
