Rafael Nadal was sent crashing out by Ivan Ljubicic in their Indian Wells semi-final.

Nadal came into the match full of confidence having come through several tight clashes against John Isner and Tomas Berdych and having beaten Ljubicic five times in a row, he was hot favourite.
It certainly appeared to be heading Nadal’s way when he claimed the first set 6-4 and put Ljubicic under plenty of pressure on his serve early in the second.
However the Croatian held firm and broke to go 5-4 up thanks to a Nadal double fault and promptly leveled the match at one set all.
Ljubicic briefly looked like he might run away with it when he broke straight away in the decider but Nadal hit back immediately and the match remained on serve until the tiebreak.
Strangely Nadal’s game, usually so solid in those tight moments fell apart and a string of errors gave Ljubicic five match points. The Croatian only needed one, sealing a famous win with a big forehand winner.
