Rafael Nadal will now decide whether to play at Wimbledon after an exhibition match against Stanslas Wawrinka on Friday.

"He is having difficulties bending and it seems his treatments aren't enough," said coach and uncle Toni Nadal.

"I don't know if he will play at Wimbledon, we have to wait for Friday." Toni Nadal added.

Rafael Nadal was forced to withdraw from Queen's Club last week with knee trouble and underwent intense rehabilitation for knee tendinitis in Barcelona.

Following the surgery the 23-year-old reigning Wimbledon champion looked on course to defend his title after coming through a practice session on Tuesday.

However, with Nadal looking heavily troubled throughout his one hour 20 minute encounter with Hewitt at London's Hurlingham Club fresh doubt has been cast on his Wimbledon defence.

Following the news of Nadal's struggle against Hewitt bookmakers responded with Rafael Nadal's Wimbledon odds dropping to 4/1 with Stan James
