Rafael Nadal has entered the Thailand Open in Bangkok at the end of September.

The organisers of the Thailand Open will be delighted to finally have the world number one and reigning French Open and Wimbledon champion in their field. Nadal has signed up to play twice in the past but has had to withdraw with injuries each time.

It promises for a stellar field in Bangkok this year with Juan Martin Del Potro set to make his comeback from a long term wrist injury in the Thai capital.  

Nadal’s sojourn in the East will mark the start of his indoor season which will also take in the Madrid and Paris Masters and culminate with the ATP World Finals in London.

"With my health and body in good shape, I am really looking forward to playing some great tennis for Thai fans," Nadal said.
