Nadal, the top ranked player in the world, is the heavy favorite in the match as Bemelmans is ranked out at world number 144 at the moment. The two players have no significant head to head history to examine however they have played one another once before in a match that is still recent history.
Nadal and Bemelmans square off in the round of 16 at the 2010 ATP Bangkok event with Nadal winning very comfortably in straight sets, 6-1, 6-4.
A straight sets victory is to be expected in their Davis Cup match as well as Nadal is very unlikely to be troubled by Bemelmans and more broadly the Spanish side is not likely to be troubled by Belgium's.
