Rafael Nadal will attempt to regain the Queen’s Club title he won two years ago.

Nadal has confirmed he will play the opening tournament of the grass-court season at Queen’s Club this summer, a place where he has enjoyed plenty of success in the past.

Nadal enjoyed an astonishing run in 2008 winning his fourth Roland Garros crown, then the Queens title followed by Wimbledon, all in just over a month.

Unfortunately last year the knee injuries he sustained during the French Open ruled him out of the entire grass season and Andy Murray claimed the title at Queens in Nadal’s absence.

"This year there is even more motivation because I could not defend my titles last year,” Nadal said. "It was an amazing feeling to win Queen's in 2008 and then to fulfil my dream by winning Wimbledon.  To not defend my Wimbledon title last year was one of the toughest decisions in my career.”

Nadal is currently preparing to defend his Indian Wells title as the action gets underway in the first Masters Series event of the year on Saturday.
