Nadal's odds are likely to shorten for the French Open title.

Rafael Nadal cruised against Michael Berrer today as he nearly posted a flawless victory at 6-0, 6-1.

The win was not surprising as Nadal was a -20000 (1/200) favorite with bet365 to win the match and he was even favored at -800 (1/8) with Paddy Power to win in straight sets.

Hopefully you 'cashed in'.

Nadal's hard court weaknesses over the last 10 months are not showing up in his clay court game so far as he is 24-2 in games played in Monte Carlo.  Nadal looks to be on great form to defend his title in Monaco and should he do that his odds to win the French Open might start shortening even further.

Currently you can still get Nadal at -120 (5/6) with William Hill to win the 2010 French Open and if you are thinking of picking the Spaniard you are advised to act sooner than later.  His form in Monte Carlo is unmatched and his backers, the ones that have intelligently stopped betting the Spaniard in the futures market, might be waking up again soon and you will want to beat them to the betting lines to ensure you get the good price.
