Feliciano Lopez suffers a foot injury allowing Nadal to cruise to victory fairly easily.

Rafael Nadal should be fresh for the Shanghai Masters final as both of his last two matches were won via retirement.  Yesterday the victory via retirement was much more of a boost though as that match was close.  Today, when Nadal won his semifinal match against Feliciano Lopez at the Shanghai Masters, the match was already a one-sided affair.

At various points in the first set, Lopez was limping around, bothered greatly by his right foot.  He grimmaced in pain at several points in the first set before needing an injury time out between sets and receiving treatment.  Lopez went out and gave it a bit of a try in the second set but his range of motion was clearly too limited to compete in this match, let alone make a comeback.

Nadal won 6-1, 3-0 (retired) and he now draws Nikolay Davydenko in the final after his minor upset of Novak Djokovic in the other semifinal (which was a very long and closely contested match).

The match was available on a live stream with bet365 and you can also use that site to get updated odds on the final.
