Agnieszka Radwanska has qualified for the TEB BNP Paribas WTA Championships following Marion Bartoli’s withdrawal in MoscowYou can watch and bet on the action from the WTA Championships at bet365Agnieszka Radwanska will finish the season as the world No. 8 this year, guaranteeing her qualification for the TEB BNP Paribas WTA Championships. Radwanska’s position as the world No. 8 had been under threat this week as she was unexpectedly beaten in the second round of the Kremlin Cup.
Marion Bartoli had an outside chance of leapfrogging Radwanska in the rankings following a title success in Osaka. Whilst Bartoli made a good start in Moscow this week, she had to pull out ahead of her quarter-final clash with Elena Vesnina due to a viral illness. She would have edged past the Pole if she’d won the tournament.
"I am so happy to finally qualify for the Championships as one of the Top 8 singles players," announced Radwanska when she found out the news. "Just a few weeks ago I didn't think I had a chance of qualifying and am now so happy to end my season in Istanbul."
