Pete Sampras made his first visit to Wimbledon since 2002 to watch Federer break the Grand Slam record he had set in 2003.
"Roger's a friend, he's a great player, he's a good guy," stated Pete Sampras, who won seven Wimbledon titles in his career.
"Federer can get 17 or 18 majors. If he just keeps it going and stays healthy, he could go to 19, 20, actually. The guy's a legend and now he's an icon. He's a credit to the game." Sampras added
Sampras made his entrance to Wimbledon receiving a round of applause from the crowd as he took his seat beside fellow tennis legends Bjorn Borg and Rod Laver.
"When he walked in I did get more nervous," revealed Roger Federer, who wore a T-shirt with the words 'There is no finish line...' for his post-match press conference.
Ladbrokes don't believe Roger Federer will fullfill Sampras' prediction and are offering massive odds of 10/1 that Federer will win 20 or more Grand Slams.
