Pablo Andujar takes on Florent Serra in Casablanca this afternoon in the first round of the Grand Prix Hassan II.
Andujar has slowly made his mark over the past year, reaching the Budapest final as a qualifier in September and he's up to 69 in the rankings. The Spaniard is on the rise and he has had some impressive results in 2011 albeit very inconsistently. He stunned Tommy Robredo on the way to the quarters in Costa Do Sauipe in February and last week he took out Fernando Verdasco on the way to the third round of Miami.
However in Serra he faces a player with a strong history of success in Casablanca. The Frenchman reached the final back in 2009 and followed that up with a run to the last four in 2010.
By his standards it has been a poor 2011 for Serra with first round exits aplenty and at 78 he is some way off his career best ranking. However there is something about the Casablanca tournament which seems to bring the best out of him and he should win this one, maybe in three sets.
