Roger Federer faces a crucial match against Tommy Robredo here, whilst American No. 1 Andy Roddick could be in for a gruelling encounter against an in-form Stanislas Wawrinka.

Elsewhere, Anastasija Sevastova will aim to put a stop to Caroline Wozniacki's bid for a maiden Slam title, and Andrea Petkovic will be looking to upset Maria Sharapova, who won this event in 2008.
