The championship match from the 2011 Sony Ericsson Open will feature Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic.
The 2011 Sony Ericsson Open (Miami Masters) will conclude on Sunday as the top ranked player in the world, Rafael Nadal, will meet Novak Djokovic, the world number two. The only other match to take place on Sunday is the women's doubles final and that will come after the men's singles final which is scheduled for 12:50pm ET from Miami, Florida.
While both finalists are under pressure to win the argument could be made that more pressure is on Nadal at this point.
Nadal enters the match as the world number one, a ranking that is not at risk directly with tomorrow's result, but if he loses a second match to Djokovic in as many tournaments people are going to start tipping the Serbian as a possible world number one by season's end.
Should Djokovic lose it would end a fantastic run of undefeated matches in 2011 but people might simply say this about the result for the Serbian: "you can't win them all".
Djokovic will be going for his fourth title of the 2011 campaign as he has already won the Australian Open, ATP Dubai, and the Indian Wells Masters.
While Nadal leads their overall head-to-head by a convincing 16-8, importantly Djokovic leads 8-5 in their matches on hard courts. The two players last met on tour at Indian Wells just a couple weeks ago and the Serbian won a three set match: 4-6, 6-3, 6-2.
