Novak Djokovic and Tomas Berdych headline Monday's play at the ATP World Tour Finals as they go head to head in the evening session.
The questions on everyone's lips at the pre-event press conferences were all about Djokovic's shoulder. Will the world number one be fit enough to contend for the title ?
Unsurprisingly, Djokovic brushed aside these queries, nonchalantly declaring that he's back at 100% again. "The shoulder is fine at the moment," he said. "I can say that it has recovered and I'm ready to compete.Everybody agrees that this tournament is the crown for all the achievements of the year for the top eight players in the world. I come here with high expectations."
However we'll have to wait until he gets on court against Berdych to see whether he's really telling the truth. The Czech has some of the most thunderous groundstrokes on the tour and he will provide a thorough workout for Djokovic's serve if there's any hint that it's below par.
They met in the round-robin stages last year with Djokovic winning comfortably 6-3, 6-3 but he'll be expecting a tougher workout this time. Berdych has finished the year very strongly, beating Andy Murray on the way to the semi-finals of the Paris Masters.
Prediction: Berdych to produce the first shock of the tournament with a three set win.
