Nikolay Davydenko faces a tricky match against Jo-Wilfried Tsonga at the Boodles Challenge.

Davydenko reached the final of this exhibition event last year, losing to Philipp Kohlschreiber but generally he tends to struggle on grass which is why he was bumped down the seeding list by Wimbledon in favour of Andy Roddick.

The Russian returned from a three month layoff with a broken wrist last week in Halle and was outplayed by Ben Becker in round two so his Wimbledon chances do not look great.

He has beaten Tsonga in both their past matches but the Frenchman is probably  favourite to get revenge here with his bigger game being more effective on the grass.

Tsonga made the fourth round of Wimbledon three years ago and with a decent draw he will fancy his chances of making the second week again this year.
