Nicolas Almagro is looking to put a disasterous French Open behind him as the 10 time clay court ATP titlist fell in the first round of the clay court Grand Slam at Roland Garros a few weeks ago. Almagro will face Germany's Michael Berrer in the first round of the Unicef Open as the two players prepare for next week's Wimbledon.
Berrer and Almagro have met only once time before as the German defeated the Spaniard via retirement in a clay court match from 2008. With Almagro

Berrer did not play poorly at the French Open and he's a tricky opponent for Almagro. The German made the third round of the clay court Grand Slam having defeated the talented Milos Raonic en route. However there is little else in Berrer's recent history to suggest that he can stick with Almagro, provided that the Spaniard plays well.
