Nicolas Almagro looks to regain his Brasil Open title when he takes on Alexandr Dolgopolov in Sunday's final.
Almagro has so much clay-court experience and he's made a fast start to 2011, reaching the fourth round in Melbourne and reaching the final in Costa Do Sauipe this week with fairly little trouble. His toughest test to date came against the wily veteran Juan Ignacio Chela in the semi-finals but Almagro's powerful baseline game reaped the rewards in the end.
Dolgopolov has taken the tour by storm so far this year. His run to the Australian Open quarter-finals earned him plenty of column inches across news outlets worldwide and the outrageously talented Ukrainian has taken that form straight onto the South American clay as he goes for his first ATP title.
He has not dropped a set this week and he crushed Ricardo Mello 6-2, 6-1 in the semi-finals. Almagro has all the experience, having won eight titles on the tour but few would bet against "The Dog" in his current vein of form.
Prediction: Dolgopolov in three
