Rafael Nadal is through to the final four at Roland Garros after a straight sets win over Robin SoderlingYou can watch and bet on live streaming tennis at bet365Rafael Nadal has been quick to play down his chances in this year’s French Open, but is arguably the favourite following a 6-4, 6-1, 7-6 victory over two-time runner-up Robin Soderling. Friday will now be a big day for the Spaniard, as he’ll turn 25, and will also have to face Andy Murray in the semi-finals here at Roland Garros.
Soderling struggled against Nadal throughout, and only managed to find a foothold in the contest in the third set. His powerful groundstrokes weren’t enough to test Nadal, who countered effectively and dominated the majority of the rallies.
Nadal will be considered the favourite when he meets Murray later in the week. The Scot won his quarter-final against
Juan-Ignacio Chela in straight sets, but will need to raise his game in order to stop the world No. 1. To add to this, Murray may be hampered by the injury to his right ankle that he sustained earlier in the week.
