WTA Eastbourne continues on Wednesday with a full slate of men's and women's action. In one interesting match-up Li faces Hantuchova.
Na Li, the champion from the recently completed French Open, will face Daniela Hantuchova of Slovakia later on Wednesday in a match from the AEGON International in Eastbourne.
The grass court tournament is part of the warm-up to Wimbledon and both players will be looking to stay on solid form.
Li, having won the French Open, appears to be one of the most dangerous players on the women's tour right now while Hantuchova made a grass court final just last week in Birmingham as an encore to her fourth round appearance at Roland Garros.
The two players have met four times before, all matches that were played on the hard court surface, and they have split their head-to-head meetings 2-2 (Li 4/6, Hantuchova 8/5; bet365).
Li won their most recent match from the 2010 Australian Open in three sets, a tournament where the Chinese star began hinting at her Grand Slam winning capabilities.
When one goes by Wimbledon results, Li clearly appears to be the better player as she has twice made the quarterfinals of the Grand Slam draw including in 2010. Hantuchova certainly isn't a poor grass courter however she does have some recent losses at the All England Club to players who were ranked outside of the top 40.
