The South American clay court swing gets underway today with the Movistar Open. Fernando Gonzalez is the 6/5 favourite to win the title in Chile.

Gonzalez is quite a sporting hero in Chile and he’s looking to capture his third title in a row in front of home fans.  Gonzalez did not drop a set in the tournament last year and few would bet against him going all the way again. It would be his fifth Movistar Open title in ten appearances.

Jose Acasuso who was runner-up last year to Gonzalez, could be the Chilean’s closest challenger once again. Acasuso is 9/1 to end Gonzalez's recent dominance in the event.

Other contenders include Juan Monaco (4/1) and Pablo Cuevas. Monaco was a finalist here in 2008 until he was forced to withdraw before the final against Gonzalez. Cuevas (12/1)  has always done well in Vina Del Mar, making the semi-final twice in the past.

Overall there is plenty of live tennis to look forward to in this tournament and in Zagreb.

Play gets underway at around 22:00 GMT on Monday with Jorge Aguilar v Juan Ignacio Chela.
