Thomaz Bellucci will be hoping to bounce back from a three hour epic on Thursday when he plays Eduardo Schwank.

Bellucci had to dig deep to defeat Chile’s Paul Capdeville in an epic second round match. Capdeville’s form recently has been woeful but he was inspired in front of local fans and Bellucci only just came through 5-7, 6-4, 7-5.

Schwank, ranked 79, got very lucky when sixth seed and last year’s runner-up Jose Acasuso pulled out of their match at one set all. Schwank has not has the best of starts to 2010, his first round win was his first of the year.

Bellucci and Schwank know each other from the challenger circuit where they played twice in 2008, one straight sets win apiece.

Bellucci should win though probably in three sets. He’s 8/13 with sporting bet while Schwank is 7/5 with Boylesports.
