Hard serving Milos Raonic takes on experienced Cypriot Marcos Baghdatis in the opening round of the Stockholm Open.
Raonic missed the entire summer hard court swing with an injury he sustained at Wimbledon and he only returned tentatively to the tour a few weeks ago. However the Canadian has shown his potential, pushing Rafael Nadal and David Ferrer fairly close over the past few weeks and on a rapid indoor surface in Stockholm this week, he should pose a serious threat.
Baghdatis reached the final of the Kremlin Cup this time last year but instead of heading to Moscow again, he's opted to pit his game against a much tougher field in Sweden.
It's been a largely disappointing season for the Cypriot but his game has come together again over the past few weeks. He reached the Kuala Lumpur final and took eventual champion Andy Murray to three sets in Tokyo.
Baghdatis is a good returner but he'll need to be at his very sharpest to stand a chance against the cannon-like delivery of Raonic. Expect the Canadian to take this in two close sets.
