Fish and Raonic will meet from ATP Indian Wells on Sunday. We provide our preview of the match here.
Milos Raonic has been on a rampage in 2011 as he announced his arrival as a big time tennis player with his fourth round appearance at the 2011 Australian Open. At just 20 years old, many are tipping the young Canadian as having a very bright future, including Andy Roddick who spoke well of Raonic after their ATP Memphis final last month.
Raonic's opponent in the second round of ATP Indian Wells on Sunday is another American, 15th ranked Mardy Fish.
Fish and Raonic met in the semifinals of the ATP Memphis draw with Raonic taking away a three set victory in front of a partisan American crowd.
Like Indian Wells, ATP Memphis was played on the hard court surface and Raonic looks good to advance to the third round where he would face either Ryan Harrison or Guillermo Garcia-Lopez.
All of those players are in Roger Federer's eighth of the draw and a possible Raonic vs Federer showdown could be brewing.
Raonic and Fish are the second match on the Order of Play for Stadium 2. They will be following the Jelena Jankovic vs Julia Goerges match, one that is not to begin before 4:30pm PT.
