Michael Berrer takes on home favourite Ivan Dodig in the final of the PBZ Zagreb Indoors.
Berrer has been in brilliant form all week, reaching the final for the second successive year with an impressive 6-1, 6-4 win over Florian Mayer in the semi-finals. The attacking left-hander has not dropped a set all week and he agreed that he feels very comfortable in the Croatian capital.
"Zagreb is a very good place for me to be and I enjoy every day that I'm here," said Berrer. "It was quite a quick match - good for tomorrow, I saved some energy for the final. If I play my game it's a lot of pressure for my opponents to deal with. I didn't lose my serve again. I will be fresh for the final and I'm really looking forward to it," he enthused. "It will be my second final here in two years. Ivan is a good player, he's playing at home and it will be challenging. If I play my game, hopefully the result will come."
Dodig has been enjoying the best week of his career, a fairytale run in front of his home fans to ensure that Croatia is represented in the Zagreb final for the fifth successive year. He stunned former champion Ivan Ljubicic on Friday and backed that up with a battling 4-6, 7-6, 6-4 win over third seed Guillermo Garcia-Lopez, coming back from a set and a break down.
However, Berrer will be the much fresher of the two players and that could prove telling. Expect the German to come through and take the title.
