Ferrero produced a fine comeback to defeat the dangerous Argentine Davis Cup player Horacio Zeballos in round two, 6-7, 7-6, 6-2.
Reviewing the match, Ferrero succintly explained his change in tactics after the first set. "I played much more aggressively and returned his serve from further back," he said. "I used my forehand well into his backhand."
He will face different challenges against the hard hitting, aggressive Greul who defeated Gilles Simon 6-4, 7-5 in the second round.
"This is the first time that I face him. I know he will be motivated playing at home," Ferrero said, looking ahead to the match.
