Britain's Melanie South lost out in a late night tight match 7-5 7-6 (7-5) to Mathilde Johansson in the first round at Wimbledon.
At 2100 BST Melanie South fended off a match point in the second set, going on to win the next three points and take the match to a tie-break.
South, who reached the second round at Wimbledon three years ago, bounced back from losing the first two games but dropped her serve to lose the first set 7-5.

Melanie South did brilliantly to save a match point in the 10th game of the second set to force a tie-break, not giving up hope until the final ball.
South trailed 2-0 in the tie breaker but edged ahead when Johannson double-faulted, only for the French player to hold her nerve to take the tie-break with a 7-5 scoreline.
