Hantuchova has played consistently well this season, though Bartoli’s match record for 2011 is far superior to the Slovakian’s. Hantuchova is a serious threat on this surface though, and she’ll be in with a good chance of beating Bartoli if she’s at her best.
Hantuchova has a 5-1 head to head record against the world No. 9 prior to this matchup, and it will be intriguing to see if she can add to this. The 28 year-old as had to work very hard for her last two wins against Bartoli though, and this upcoming clash seems likely to be a close one.
