Cilic is one of the longshots who has potential to win a Slam in 2010.

Marin Cilic isn't a normal longshot to win a Slam in 2010 because, unlike some older longshots, improvement in Cilic's game should still be expected.

His development is behind that of Juan Martin Del Potro's (they are practically the same age) but Cilic is still only 21 years old which makes him one of the youngest players in the top 20 (currently ranked 14th).

Here are Cilic's odds to win each Grand Slam in 2010:

Australian Open, +3300 (33/1), Sportingbet
French Open, +10000 (100/1), Sky Bet
Wimbledon, +4000 (40/1), bet365, Sky Bet, Victor Chandler, and Paddy Power
US Open, +4000 (40/1), Sky Bet, Boylesports

Cilic's Grand Slam results over the past few years depict a well rounded player for all surfaces.  He has been to the fourth round at each Slam and, as mentioned, he's made the US Open quarterfinals.

He has never achieved top level success in a Slam yet, but based on his age, improvements should be expected in 2010.

Cilic is not a top recommendation for any Slam but he can be sprinkled lightly for each, as a cover bet.  He's young, developing, improving, and he should be surpassing some of the older players on tour soon like Fernando Gonzalez, Radek Stepanek, and maybe even Andy Roddick.
