Lisicki has been in terrific form this season, and she’ll now be looking to finish the year with one more title success.
Speaking after Friday’s matchup, Lisicki remarked, "I hadn't played a lot of matches in the last few weeks, and not everything was going my way, but I kept fighting. "Daniela and I always have long, good rallies. At the end of the day I made the important points and that's what counts - to come out on top in such a good match is really nice."
Lisicki will face Anabel Medina Garrigues on Saturday in the final four. Medina Garrigues progressed here as top seed Marion Bartoli was forced to retire due to an ankle injury.
