Kim Clijsters and Justine Henin are considering teaming up in the doubles for London 2012.
It would be a most unlikely partnership, Clijsters and Henin's relationship in the past could be described as cordial at best and they have only once played doubles together, in the Fed Cup four years ago.
However since returning from retirement, Henin in particular has mellowed and the two players have spoken about their mutual respect for one another.
They are both targeting the London 2012 Olympics and for Clijsters it will probably be her last. She has plans for more children and has said she will probably quit the circuit for good after the 2012 season.
It would be somewhat poignant if she ended her career by claiming gold with her once bitter rival.
"We have to get together to discuss this, see what the possibilities are and assess how far we want to go in this," Clijsters told the media. “It would be nice of course to do it for the Olympic Games, because I tell myself that that year might be my last full season. So it would be nice to end that season in beauty."
