Article examines the matches that will be played by both world number 2s as Roger Federer and Kim Clijsters both prepare for their March 15th matches.

Kim Clijsters and Roger Federer are both on the Order of Play for Tuesday March 15th as they will meet opponents from Indian Wells in their respective singles draws.

Clijsters will face Marion Bartoli and the Belgian enters the match having defeated Bartoli in all three of their head to head meetings from the past.

The last time the two players met was at the 2009 US Open in a second round match and that is the only meeting of their three where Bartoli was able to claim a set off of Clijsters, the eventual champion at that Grand Slam.

The two players will meet in Stadium 1 not before 1pm PT today with their start time possibly affected by a long Ernests Gulbis vs Novak Djokovic match which opens the court.

Following Clijsters' match, Roger Federer will take on Juan Ignacio Chela.

Federer and Chela are both veterans on tour and they have met five times over the years, four times on the hard court surface, with Federer winning all matches played between them. In their five head to head matches, Chela has only been able to take down one individual set against the current world number 2 and the Argentine is clearly in danger of being sent off out of the Indian Wells draw.

The winner between Chela and Federer will likely face Milos Raonic of Canada in the fourth round as he faces 18 year old Ryan Harrison in the same section of the draw.
