Henin has reached the last four without dropping a set though she had her toughest test to date in the quarters against Kristina Barrois in a battle of the single-handed backhands. The German fought back from 5-3 down to level the first set before Henin reeled off five of the next six games to wrest control of the match.
Dulgheru caused a minor upset by defeating French Open quarter-finalist and fourth seed Yaroslava Shvedova 3-6, 6-3, 6-4 in the last eight. The Romanian has not had things easy this week, with all her matches going the distance.
Henin will be hoping to set up an all-Belgian final with compatriot Kirsten Flipkens who plays in the other semi-final and unless there is a huge upset, the former world number one will seal her side of the bargain.
