Juan Monaco will take on Donald Young on Tuesday in the first round of this year’s ATP Paris MastersYou can watch and bet on the Paris Masters live for free at bet365 > live tennisJuan Monaco made a superb run in Valencia last week, and was unfortunate to lose a third set tie-breaker in the final against Marcel Granollers. The Argentine will be hoping to maintain this level of form for this week’s Paris Masters. If he can, he’s got an outside chance of reaching the latter stages.
Monaco’s first opponent here in France will be American youngster Donald Young. Young is starting to meet expectations this year, and he’s currently ranked inside the top fifty. He still needed to qualify for the main draw though. Perhaps his chances will be boosted by the fact that he’s already played a few matches here.
Monaco and Young have never previously met in ATP competition, and this seems likely to be a close contest. Whilst Monaco is ranked higher than Young, the American is arguably more adept on this surface. Monaco is no slouch on hard courts though, as we saw last week.
