Next up for Tsonga is Sam Querrey of America. Querrey was on top form in round one against Ernests Gulbis, recording a 6-3, 6-4 success in just over an hour and ten minutes. Querrey’s serve, usually one of the most dangerous in the game, was particularly impressive. He didn’t face a single break point against Gulbis.
Querrey is ranked outside of the top hundred at the moment, but he has the ability to threaten anybody, due to his size and serve. Tsonga should be able to progress on Thursday, but Querrey shouldn’t be ruled out if he plays like he did against Gulbis.
