The former top 10 player has been sliding but he made a huge leap with the new ATP rankings.
The May 2nd, 2011 rankings are out and one of the big jumps in the top 200 belongs to James Blake.
The former world number four is up to 109th thanks to the 90 ranking points he earned at a clay court challenger in Sarasota, Florida.
There were no big talents in the Sarasota draw however the challenger title does give Blake some momentum as the French Open nears. With Wild Cards and qualifiers taking up 24 spots in the French Open draw, 109th is near the bubble as far as direct qualifiers go so Blake will need to do some more damage before the players' list is finalized.
American Bobby Reynolds also made a big leap as he won a challenger title in Leon, Mexico. The 80 ranking points earned for that effort have seen him up 30 spots to 116th.
