Third seed Guillermo Garcia-Lopez takes on local favourite Ivan Dodig for a place in the Zagreb final.
Dodig is flying the flag for the home nation this week. The PBZ Zagreb Indoors has been a fine hunting ground for the home nation in recent years with Marin Cilic and Ivan Ljubicic claiming three of the past five titles. However this year, it is the big serving Dodig who has forced his way into the last four with straight sets wins over Marcel Granollers, Illya Marchenko and Ljubicic.
Dodig was the only player to take a set off Novak Djokovic at the Australian Open, a feat which neither Roger Federer or Andy Murray managed and is clearly in the form of his life right now.
However he's up against a seasoned campaigner in Garcia-Lopez who is also enjoying a surge in confidence after his results over the past year. Garcia-Lopez beat Rafael Nadal on the way to the Bangkok title in the autumn and as the highest ranked player left in the Zagreb draw, he will have his eye on another indoor title.
Expect a close one with Garcia-Lopez prevailing in three.
