His first opponent will be Czech underdog Jiri Vesely. Vesely is only eighteen years old and is currently at a career-high ranking of world No. 569. He’s achieved a reasonable amount of success at the Futures level, though wins on the Challenger Circuit have so far proved to be elusive.
Dancevic should be able to win this match despite the expected tenacity of his opponent. Vesely has demonstrated his potential this season, but it seems like it’ll be a while before he starts being a major threat at this level.
