A recap of the men's singles action from ATP Dubai on Friday and a look ahead at Saturday's final between Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic.
Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic have fulfilled the hype this week as they are the finalists heading into the championship match at ATP Dubai 2011. Federer advanced to the final with a sound win over Richard Gasquet in straight sets while Djokovic defeated Tomas Berdych, a player who retired late in the match with a left quadriceps injury.
Federer leads on head to heads against Djokovic as the current world number two holds a 13-7 record against the current world number 3. Djokovic did win their last match in a decisive manner as he eliminated Federer in the semifinals of the 2011 Australian Open in straight sets.
However Federer has a four match winning streak going against Djokovic in non-Grand Slam matches and Federer is also on better form in Dubai as he has advanced to the championship match without dropping a set so far.
