Novak Djokovic has swept aside all comers so far this season, and currently remains unbeaten in 2011. His tremendous run of form has elevated him to the No. 2 ranking spot, ahead of Roger Federer, who he has already defeated three times this season. On current form, the Serb is the man to beat, and he should enter this week’s competition in Miami with plenty of confidence.

Looking forward to future events, Djokovic pinpointed the clay court season as being a major part of his plans for the year. “I believe I can play well on that surface [clay] and I have proven that in the last couple of years.” “In order to win trophies on that surface, big ones, I will need to be physically very, very fit.”

Speaking well in advance of the French Open, Djokovic remarked, “I had a great clay-court season in 2009 and 2008, and I’ve always played well at Roland Garros.”
