Novak Djokovic made straightforward progress in his second-round match at Wimbledon against Simon Gruel.
Fourth seed Djokovic was impressive during his 7-5 6-1 6-4 win over German Simon Greul on Court One.
The Serb said afterwards that he has "no expectations for Wimbledon" as he struggles to find his best form on the tough grass courts.
It was hard going for Djokovic who fell a break behind, but he battled back to take the opening set, only to drop serve again at the start of the second set.
Djokovic replied by winning eight straight games. Djokovic found himself slipping around behind the baseline at times and was thankful for a break in game nine that allowed him to serve out for the win.
"I am aware of my qualities but do not want to create extra pressure on myself as I know how hard it is to deal with it. I am happy people are not talking about me." said Djokovic
"I did not have a lot of success here last year so I had no expectations for Wimbledon this year and don't try to create pressure on myself to get far in the tournament. I play each match at a time." Djokovic added.
Djokovic is currently at odds of 16/1 to win Wimbledon 2009 from Sportingbet and you can follow his progress online with free live Wimbledon streams from Bet365.
