Despite this, he has a 7-5 record against Nadal on hard courts, and on current form might even be considered the favourite. Speaking ahead of the match, Djokovic stated, “I know how it feels to play him, so I will be prepared. I want this trophy as much as he wants it, so we’ll both step on the court wanting that win.”
