Juan Martin Del Potro appears to be in good spirits ahead of his semi-final match against Rafael Nadal here in Indian Wells

Juan Martin Del Potro seems to be in a positive frame of mind as he prepares for a semi-final clash against Rafael Nadal at the ATP Indian Wells Open. “We’ve had very good matches before, so I now have two days to be better, in good form, and hopefully I can play 100 percent” said the Argentine.

“Maybe I feel little difference at this moment between me and the Top 10 players here because I already play against [Andy] Roddick, against [Fernando] Verdasco, and I feel little difference… maybe against Rafa I can feel the same.” Del Potro may also be spurred on by the fact that he’s won his last three matches against the current world No. 1.

The former US Open champion refused to overstate his chances against Nadal though. “It’s a long road,” remarked Del Potro. “If I lose, I will take good things to improve in the future. That's the main and important thing if I lose.  Even if I win, I know it's a long road to be in the top again. Of course I would like to win, but I will see in the future."
