The Swedes will be very confident with their side led by the in-form Robin Soderling, ranked seven in the world after winning the Rotterdam title a few weeks ago. On a fast indoor court, in front of home fans Soderling will be confident of returning two singles wins.

Argentina are missing their top two. Neither Juan Martin Del Potro or Juan Monaco are making the trip to Stockholm. As a result none of their side – Horacio Zeballos, Leonardo Mayer, Eduardo Schwank or Federico Del Bonis has played a live singles rubber in the competition. However Sweden have a big weakness in terms of their second singles player. They are fielding the veteran Andreas Vinciguerra, ranked outside the top 200. Zeballos made an ATP final indoors in the autumn and both him and Mayer will be confident of beating Vinciguerra.
The tie could be decided by the doubles which is where Sweden have a big edge with their experienced pairing of Simon Aspelin and Robert Lindstedt who have both won multiples titles on the tour.
