Both players will be fairly rusty with Davydenko only recently back from a serious wrist injury and Nalbandian playing his first match in two months.

Argentina badly need Nalbandian to win this one as otherwise they could very easily be 2-0 down and facing a mountain to climb after day one. Mikhail Youzhny is a very strong favourite in the second rubber of the day against Leonardo Mayer.
