Novak Djokovic looks to spearhead Serbia into a second Davis Cup final as they host Argentina in the last four this weekend.
Present and past US Open champions will go head-to-head in this blockbuster Davis Cup semi-final between two of the powerhouse nations of world tennis. Defending champions Serbia are the team to beat once again with an inspirational talisman in Novak Djokovic, Janko Tipsarevic in the form of his life, one of the best doubles players around in Nenad Zimonjic and guaranteed frenzied crowd support whenever they compete in Belgrade.
Argentina are used to having a stronghold of their own on the clay of Bueno Aires but they really are walking into the lion's den this weekend. Tennis is the national sport now in Serbia and with the prospect of seeing their hero Djokovic in action, the Belgrade Arena will be packed out all weekend.
Argentina boast a strong side themselves with Juan Martin Del Potro and David Nalbandian and their big chance may come if Djokovic finds himself to fatigued to compete on the opening day and Nalbandian finds himself up against Viktor Troicki instead, a very winnable match.
However they will have to hope that Del Potro finds some of the form he showed at the French Open and Wimbledon as he's been disappointing all summer and right now you would have to back Tipsarevic, after his US Open run, to beat him.
Overall the fate of the tie rests on Djokovic's decision. If he competes on day one then Serbia could quite easily wrap this up on day two, if not, then it could well go down to the wire.
