David Ferrero hopes to continue run of upsets against Simon

Juan Carlos Ferrero will be hoping to continue his Wimbledon run of upsets against France’s Gilles Simon on Monday.

On paper, Simon is the heavy favorite in this match, but Ferrero has been the far more impressive player of late.

Ferrero seems to have regained some of his former glory. The Spaniard won his first title in years at the tournament in Casablanca and he recently had a solid semifinal run at Queen’s Club where he was beaten by eventual champion Andy Murray.

Ferrero had an epic and impressive 5 set win over Fernando Gonzalez on Saturday. He will go into Monday’s match with confidence, but also perhaps with fitness concerns.

Meanwhile, Simon’s form has picked up enough during the past week to suggest that he would probably deserves to be the favorite, but an upset from Ferrero would not suprise anyone.

Our betting tip for this match is Simon to take a 4 set victory, however a small bet on Ferrero taking a 3 set victory could pay off. Bet on Simon vs Ferrero with Bet365 who are also providing free live streams of the match.
