Andy Murray has got to banish his moody Scot public image if he's to win fans at Wimbledon says British television commentator Annabel Croft.
"I think he's still got a long way to go in that department to try to get the public 100 percent behind him, to adore him", Croft said in an article for the Daily Mail.
"At the Queen's final the audience was still very mixed. A lot of them would have been quite happy if James Blake had won." Croft added
Croft also revealed that she thinks that Team Murray needs to do some work on the player's public image.
"When he went off a walk around the court with the trophy, people were leaving. He maybe needs to be himself and smile more. I think he's learned a lot in the last year. It's about growing up and being confident and just being a bit chirpier".
However punters are arguing that even an outwardly grumpy demenaour can't dent Murray's possible title chances at Wimbledon with floods of Wimbledon bets coming in for the third seed.
"Murray could win it. Winning at Queen's was the perfect preparation, he's so tough mentally, even though he's yet to prove it over five sets". Croft said.
