Wozniacki looks to win in straight sets today from WTA Brussels (Brussels Ladies Open) as the world number one faces a player ranked well outside of the top 50.
Caroline Wozniacki will meet America's Varvara Lepchenko in second round action from WTA Brussels on Wednesday as the world number one continues to prepare for the 2011 French Open.
Wozniacki and Lepchenko have met on tour just one time in the past although that meeting was on clay as it came from Madrid 2009.
Wozniacki had no troubles with Lepchenko that day as the Dane, then ranked 11th in the world, dismissed her American opponent in easy straight sets 6-3, 6-1.
Wozniacki certainly does not play her best tennis on clay however entering today's match Lepchenko is ranked just 85th in the world. The top ranked Dane simply does not have a recent history of losing to players ranked that low and as a result she looks like a near sure-thing on Wednesday to advance.
The match is the final match scheduled for Wednesday on center court in Brussels with a start time that could be estimated for about 5:15pm CET.
