Wozniacki is on fire at the moment and the new world number one is bidding for back to back WTA Premier titles in Asia on Sunday. She overcame a first set wobble to defeat Shahar Peer 7-5, 6-2 in their semi-final after the Israeli recovered from 5-2 down to level the first set.
Zvonareva's progress to the final was never in doubt as she cruised past Na Li 6-3, 6-3. The Russian was happy just to sit back and counter-punch as the Chinese player leaked error after error in trying to force the play.
Wozniacki has fully lived up to her new ranking this week, the Dane is yet to drop a set. However against Zvonareva she will have to erase the ghosts of her US Open semi-final defeat last month. Wozniacki had looked odds on to reach her second final at Flushing Meadows but she was far from her best against Zvonareva and the Russian won easily 6-4, 6-3 in the end.
Wozniacki will be desperate to make amends and our prediction is for the Dane to make it two titles in a row.
